Ocie Reese, Jr. Senior Pastor
In 1995, our Visionary and Senior Pastor, Ocie Reese, Jr., was lead by the anointing of God to bring forth Anointed Word Christian Ministries currently located in Mableton, Georgia. The congregation began with five dedicated leaders and has experienced a rapid growth of its membership. Today, Anointed Word Christian Ministries is one church in two locations. In July 2009, Pastor Reese answered the mandate from God to establish a second church in Alpharetta, Georgia.
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Pastor Reese plays a major role in the metropolitan community. In addition to his major interest of preaching God’s Word, winning souls and empowering the community; his leadership has touched lives around the world. He is a leader among leaders; his ability to impart, impact and empower men and women globally resulted in the planting of Anointed Word Christian Ministries in Kenya, East Africa in 2005. Many souls are being impacted and empowered in this part of the world as a result of his obedience.
Pastor Reese is a graduate of Beulah Heights University where he received his Bachelors Degree in Biblical Education, Leadership and Administration. He and his wife Paula are proud parents of three daughters, Angel, Destiny and Vashti and one son, Quinton. The family resides in Alpharetta, Georgia.
Pastor Paula is a dynamic and multifaceted Woman of God. She is the wife of Pastor Ocie Reese, Jr. and the mother of four amazing children, Vashti, Alex, Destiny, and Angel (VADA Kids). She is currently attaining her PH.D in Curriculum and Instruction from Capella University, and is a middle grades educator for Fulton County Schools.
Cloaked with the strength and power of God in all that she embarks upon, this woman of God is truly a person who knows and walks in faith. She is the founder and overseer of Woman to Woman, the women’s ministry of Anointed Word. Her desire is that every woman knows her own worth in the kingdom and that they are precious and royal in the sight and heart of God.
Raised by her mother and her late grandmother, Paula is determined to allow her own children to know the power, strength, and unity of being raised by a mother and a father. As a result, Pastor Reese and Pastor Paula have made a vow to do everything in their power to make an indelible mark on each of their children’s lives.
In the midst of her never ending, nonstop, role as a wife, a mother, a co-pastor, an educator, an overseer, and a friend, at the end of the day, she is still a woman of virtue who is truly a blessing to all she comes into contact with.
